Mireia Prat

Mireia

At only 9, she entered into the world of golf, going to the Golf Montanyà with her father. After many hours in the golf course, she became very fond of this sport and her desire to compete grew stronger, until she finally considered becoming a professional player. A complicated and nearly impossible dream, but that didn’t stop Mireia from pursuing it.

Nowadays, only a few women can make a living out of playing golf, so Mireia decided to study and get a career alternative to sports.
After so much struggle, Mireia is now a professional golf player, since January 2012, the year when she also got her degree in Business Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Now she’s lucky to be living her childhood dream, to devote herself 100% to playing golf, competing in the Ladies European Tour and other tournaments that allow her to travel and meet interesting people around the world.

In order to get good results, Mireia has a daily 8 -hour routine of technical golf, physic and mental training. Her personal trainer and her coach give her all their support, and together they make a great team. She also has her family’s unconditional support from home.

Mireia Prat wants to continue enjoying golf for many years and giving her best in each tournament, improving certain aspects to be an even better player, climb up the rankings and fight for the LPGA TOUR (American circuit).

In her playing career, started in 2012, she has achieved two victories: she won in 2014 the Ladies European Tour Access Series (second division European circuit) and the Order of Merit of this circuit. This success gave her access to competing in the Ladies European Tour, where she’s playing this season going across European countries, Asia, United Arab Emirates and Australia.

Whenever she’s not in an international circuit, she stays at home and keeps competing. She plays in the women’s national circuit Santander Tour, with lower prizes but all of them within the country. Mireia has recently played at El Saler, in Valencia where she came in 6th position. This season she’s playing in the Ladies European Tour in China, followed by a tournament in Abu Dhabi and India.
